Some stores will be open in an hour or more

“The pandemic and quarantine still require a special focus on our part in the retail market. At the same time, we must make daily but very important decisions to ensure the safety of our employees and customers, to maintain the vigilance that is necessary in these difficult times.

Consequently, during the pandemic, we repeatedly changed store opening hours according to the distribution of customer flows. The reduced working hours of some stores make it possible to reschedule working hours, ensuring the necessary rest for employees ”, says Irina Miklienė, manager of supermarket management at Rimi Lietuva.

Starting Monday, March 1, the 21st Rimi shopping center will continue to operate for an hour or two less: stores will open an hour later and / or close an hour earlier. Among them, several stores in Vilnius, Kaunas, one each, in the district of Klaipėda, Šiauliai, Panevėžys, as well as in Alytus, Kaišiadorys, Utena, Ukmergė, Telšiai, Jonava, Biržai.

Due to the extended quarantine, the express format stores in Vilnius, Konstitucijos Avenue and Druskininkai remain closed.

No Rimi will be open on the first day of Easter

This year, like last year, all Rimi chain stores will be closed on the first day of Easter, April 4.

“We are very hopeful that the quarantine and the measures applied during it, as well as the awareness of the entire population, will allow Easter to be at least a little happier.” By spending time at home, first of all, we want our employees to feel them and have the opportunity to breathe, ”says Irina Miklienė.

In total, Rimi stores and management currently employ about 3,500 people. Last year alone, their number increased to more than 400. Rimi Lietuva plans to open a total of at least 12 new stores this year.
