According to Rolanda Lingien®, 30 patients are currently being treated for coronavirus in hospitals, 3 in resuscitation and intensive care units, and 1 patient is receiving artificial lung ventilation. There are currently 309 people in isolation.
“This week, 2 people with symptoms of infectious diseases were transported from Lithuanian airports to infectious disease centers by ambulance. COVID-19 infection was not confirmed in them. “Case 1 is important. Out of four, 1 person feels symptoms. A case of importation from Denmark, clarified during a preventive examination paid for at the initiative of the employer. The person works as a long-distance driver. He returned from Denmark with a co-worker on May 30, and the co-worker returned to Denmark the next day, “said R. Lingienė.
Information about this person has already been transmitted to Denmark. The sick person stated that he did not communicate with anyone and remained isolated, therefore, only those who had 3 contacts, family members, were identified.
“The second case was also identified during a paid preventive exam. With no symptoms, he did an exam before going to Germany. One of the exposed persons has already gone to Germany, and the information will also be transmitted to Germany. Currently, people with 3 contacts have been identified, but a repeated interview of this person will be carried out, ”said R. Lingienė.
