Although the season will start in less than two weeks, the decision on the A-League participants has been delayed until Tuesday.
Club Alytus last played in league A in 2014.
“We communicate a lot with the directors of the Dainava and Jonava clubs, as well as the mayors of both cities, to assess the situation in a very responsible way. The decision was very difficult, but until today it turned out to be fairer, ”said Tomas Danilevičius, LFF President and Chairman of the Emergency Committee.
Both Jonava and Dainava participated in the A league licensing process, but did not meet all the criteria.
Dainava withdrew after the first stage, because no audit was carried out, the girls team was not formed, and the coach did not have the corresponding license.
Jonava filed an appeal, but representatives of the LFF budget line were not satisfied during the time allowed for repairs.
Jonava then asked to be admitted to League A on an exceptional basis, but a version of Dainava sounded on the LFF Executive Committee, giving the clubs three days to do their homework.
The LFF Emergency Committee finally made a decision on Tuesday.
“According to the LFF 2021 approved by the Executive Committee on January 28 of this year. financial rules for the promotion of clubs, the Alytus club will receive a benefit of 10,000 euros from the COVID-19 fund, which they received for the LFF I league license received. The club will also be reimbursed for all evaluation costs, and the 2021 season solidarity funds will be awarded if Dainava, without exception, passes the 2022 season license procedure and obtains an appropriate level of license, ”reads the LFF press release.
We remind you that Jonava is accused of possibly agreeing to three games last season. The LFF has already imposed sanctions on three players and the club, but the decision has been appealed. 15 minutes knowledge, the investigation is still ongoing by the police.
