The Panathinaikos Club of Athens has found an addition: it has become a returning player of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Mario Hezonja.
The 25-year-old and 203 cm Croatian has signed a contract with the PAO until the end of the season with the option to extend it for another year.
It is true that here at Panathinaikos not everything was so simple, because we also had to find an agreement with Barcelona. It was his last team before ascending to the NBA, so the rights to Croatia belonged to the Catalans. The Šarūnas Jasikevičius club was able to submit an offer identical to that of M. Hezonja and thus acquire it, but the PAO did not prevent it.
The universal forward lifted the wings of the Atlantic in 2015, but did not fit into the ranks of the Orlando Magic, New York Knicks or Portland Trail Blazers, and started the season without a team after being fired from the Memphis Grizzlies.
The defender had 4.8 points (31 percent from 3-pointers), 3.5 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 16 minutes last season.
