The trio worked very intensively: according to the file, at least four robberies were committed in just 11 days, in most cases violence was used and threats were used.

Only one crime was committed by the trio acting together. The others involved both men or one of them.

Intended neighbors

The crimes began in 2019. December 13. This time Darius B. and Virginijus P. around 1 pm at night, acting as a group of accomplices and with the aim of kidnapping the property of others, knocked on the door of the house of the PP of the victim saying that a neighbor had arrived.

After victim PP opened the door and put masks on his face, they entered. They then began to intimidate the victim, hitting him in the face.

After the PP hit victim collapsed, the robbers pushed him to the ground, threatening the man with a hammer and a knife.

In this way, using physical violence against him and depriving him of the opportunity to resist intimidated the victim. The man, intimidated, took them both to the room and handed them the 290 euros he had.

Stole a shopping kiosk

Only three days later, on December 16, the same Darius B. and Virginijus P. at around 7:50 pm He entered the commercial pavilion-kiosk.

According to the case, Darius B. was hit twice in the face by the vendors, after which his son-in-law added another hit.

This time, they stole the company’s property from the cash register: 50 euros, two bottles of “Rinkuškių” beer and three packages of cookies from the ice cream refrigerator. The joint action caused a material damage of 57.17 euros.

Threatened to cut off his finger

A week passed and on December 23 the criminals embarked on a new robbery scheme. This time Gabrielė K joined the two men.

Around 8 pm the trio broke into the room and looted foreign property. When Gabriel K. entered SN’s home and interacted with her unsuspecting husband, Darius B. and Virginius P. went unnoticed inside.

Coming from behind the sitting SN, they beat him on the head with their hands and feet at least 10 times, threatening to cut off his finger and telling the victim to remove the € 1,000 gold ring from his finger.

Gabrielė K. withdrew a bank payment card from the victim’s wallet, with which he subsequently removed 170 euros from the ATM. They also hijacked a cell phone,

In such joint action, the trio inflicted physical pain on victim SN and robbed the man of property totaling € 1,310.

The crimes were committed by one

In December of the same year, Darius B. only committed several crimes. First, he kidnapped a 100-euro Samsung washing machine, a 70-euro gas stove, a 150-euro Samsung refrigerator, other appliances and utensils from the apartment of a family woman, whose keys he had given to take care of the apartment. The woman suffered a total of 1,628 euros in damages.

Darius B. himself was found guilty by the court of another robbery. 2019 On December 24, around 12:34 am, Darius B. struck victim JM in the face, causing her physical pain.

Threatening with an ax in his hand and saying that he would kill, he took from his pocket a cell phone (worth 250 euros) and the keys to the apartment. It is true that he failed to kidnap anything from the apartment.

Sentenced to prison

Not surprisingly, Darius B. was sentenced to the severest imprisonment. A convicted man was initially sentenced to nine years in prison. The sentence was soon reduced by a third to 6 years.

However, the thief and the abuser filed an appeal that somewhat remedied their situation. The Lithuanian Court of Appeal, after summarizing all the sentences imposed on Darius B., ruled that he must spend 5 years behind bars.

Virginia P. was also found guilty of several robbery episodes. He was initially sentenced to 6 years in prison. But due to the admission of guilt, the sentence was immediately reduced by a third, up to 4 years. Virginijus P. declined to appeal.

Gabrielė K., who participated in the only crime, was the easiest to escape and was sentenced to 2 years in prison. Although the convicted person appealed the verdict, it remained unchanged on appeal.
