In training for the Lithuanian national team, top basketball player Regimantas Miniotas got a nose piercing.

It was urged by Vytenis Trumpickas, a doctor for the national team, who sewed a wound to the nose of a basketball player in a hotel room, the Lithuanian Basketball Federation announced on its Instagram account.

Despite the injury, Miniotas will be able to participate in tonight’s Lithuanian national team match against the Czech Republic.

The 24-year-old and 208 cm tall Miniotas made his debut with the national team in the November window, when he played an average of 10 minutes in two games and scored 5 points and bounced 4 balls.

The Lithuanian national team’s match in the qualifying phase of the European Championship with the Czech Republic will start today at 7.30 pm.

Marekas Blaževičius and Arnas Velička will not play in the duel for the Lithuanian national team according to the decision of the coaches.
