“By presenting the candidate list today, we can be glad we had a really active nomination process: People were nominated by departments, communities, political groups and the Presidium, and the initial list includes up to 239 candidates. The list includes all members of the TS-LKD faction in Seimas, with the exception of Irena Degutienė, who leaves active political life, and Mantas Adomėnas and Raimundas Martinėlis, who will participate in the elections only in single-member constituencies as self-nominated candidates.
The first number on the list will be Ingrida Šimonytė, and the second number will be Gabrielius Landsbergis, ”said A. Vyšniauskas.
In addition to known politicians, according to the Chief of the Election Executive Staff, there are new but well-known personalities: former Commander Arvydas Pocius, psychiatrist Linas Slušnys, former Minister of the Environment Kęstutis Navickas, Dalia Asanavičiūtė, Lithuanian economist Kristijonas Bartosevi tax expert Rūta Bilkštytė, international policy expert Matas Maldeikis, former adviser to President Dalia Grybauskaitė Mindaugas Lingė, expert in strategic planning and public sector reform Giedrė Balčytytė, former Deputy Minister for the Environment Dalius Krinickas and others.

On June 28 the parties will select 141 candidates during qualification, and the final list will be approved by the party council in July.
