At night, police officers stopped at a service station on Parko Street and saw a broken Mercedes car. Upon entering the service station, they found a man there, but he did not want to explain where the vehicle had been damaged.

The person denied driving, but after reviewing the video surveillance footage at the service station, police officers were convinced that the person had arrived at the service station in a Mercedes car.

Authorities suspected the drivers were sober, but the person refused to enter the alcohol meter. As evading sobriety checks carries criminal liability, the man was arrested and taken to the police station.

Police officers soon received information that a security island had been damaged and a car accident had been thrown on Vasario 16th Street, just outside the service station.

A comparison of the damage to the car and the safety island and the discovery of the remains of the Mercedes car revealed that it was this vehicle that caused the accident.

Police officers will find out if the accident was caused by the same person who refused to take the sobriety test and left the scene of the accident.

The crashed Mercedes was taken to a vehicle storage site stopped by police.

If the driver is found to be moderately intoxicated or refuses to blow on the alcohol gauge at the police station, the court hearing the criminal case will also decide on the forfeiture of the car.
