Represented by Gytis Masiulis, the Frankfurt Skyliners (1-2) claimed their first victory in the renewed German championship.
In the Group B match, the Frankfurt team 63:59 (15:17, 16:17, 14:10, 18:15) the basketball players “Rasta” (1-2) of Vechta broke.
Masiulis scored 9 points in 21 minutes (4/5 doubles, 0/1 trit., 1/2 penalties), rebounded 2 and took over 1 ball and made a mistake at the same time.
3 minutes before the end of the match. 37 seconds, Rasta led 56:52, but then the Skyliners had a successful leg.
Akeem Varg and Quantez Robertson studded with a triple and, 2 minutes earlier. 39 seconds, the Skyliners took the lead – 58:56. After a long time, Masiulis added two points and increased his team’s lead to 4 points (60:56).
Masiulis also played successfully at the end of the match. With 11 seconds remaining, the Lithuanian scored points with a foul and restored a safe lead for his team (63:59).
