Police representatives told the delfi.lt portal that the call about this incident was received at 9:12 p.m. on Friday, when a security guard from the security company Grifs AG arrested the person for theft. Žydrūnas Bukauskas, the head of the Grifs AG security service, told the portal that the security guard will be removed from work.
On Saturday, the communication manager of the IKI store circulated her position in a press release.
“We sincerely apologize to the victim and all buyers for the actions of our partners. We are currently explaining the exact circumstances of the incident to representatives of the security service that services the retail network, Grifs AG, which employs a person who it is visible in the pictures. We do not tolerate such situations, so we will review the procedures so that they never happen again in the future. We will also discuss our cooperation with the security service itself.
According to preliminary data, “Iki” employees did not see the incident, because the person who allegedly committed the robbery was taken from the operating room. The employees, in accordance with the applicable internal regulations, asked not to film on the store premises, ”writes Vaida Budrienė.
