On Thursday, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė stated that decisions on quarantine will be determined by two factors.
The head of government says he wants to emphasize once again that decisions on quarantine and, consequently, the color of a country or parts of a country are influenced by only two parameters that have nothing to do with the issue: the number of new cases per 100,000. in the last 14 days and the percentage of positive tests.
“Today, in terms of both parameters, we are in the middle of the red (C) stage, even though we were at the beginning ten days ago. I hope the easing of restrictions will do its part (and it will if both customers and service providers and vendors follow a voice of security and common sense, because we do not protect the authorities with all the instructions there, instead we protect ourselves and our loved ones) and continue moving in the same direction, the number of new cases and positive tests is decreasing, ”said the Head of Government.
