“The appeal of Jonava Futbolas (FC Jonava) has been considered, but the license has not been issued due to incomplete implementation of the mandatory financial criteria,” reports the Football Federation.
“After the licensing process is complete, we have nine teams that are licensed to play in League A. Currently, the most realistic scenario is that these nine clubs will participate in 2021. - Vilnius “Žalgiris”;
- “Sūduva” from Marijampolė;
- FC Kauno Žalgiris;
- Gargždai “Wave”;
- FK Panevėžys;
- Knights of Vilnius;
- Kėdainiai “Nevėžis”;
- Kaunas “Hegelmann Lithuania”;
- Telšiai “Džiugas”.
February 3 Aaintus DFK Dainava, who did not receive an A league license during the 2006 Licensing Committee meeting, did not file an appeal and will continue to seek a First League license. FK Jonava will also have the right to apply for a First League license.

Jonava manager Vaidas Vaškevičius stated that three players are suspected, two of them still playing for the team.
