According to him, the total cost of the project to the city will not change substantially.
VŽ wrote that the tender for the new Lazdynai basin contractor was announced by the municipality in December, and in January he was informed that it had received applications from 3 suppliers.
It was announced that the new contractor should complete the work within 16 months. According to the municipality, the works will not cost more than expected, since the possible price increase will have to be compensated by former contractors.
Searches for new contractors began after $ 21.8 million was suspended. Contract for value in euros with the now bankrupt Active Construction Management (formerly Irdaiva). It was announced that the works had not been carried out since September 2019. Active Construction Management is estimated to have performed about 40% of the planned work.
In January, the court found that the municipality had legally terminated the contract and its partners were also liable for breaches of the contract.
Subsequently, at the request of the Vilnius City Council, the construction companies Montuotojas, Mitnija, HSC Baltic and Axis Power were included in the list of unreliable suppliers. The companies announced that they were considering filing an appeal.
