Police reported that one of the detainees found cannabis in the car, and his follow-up stopped his joint, the house of which was suspected to contain cocaine and cannabis.
After the police operation, known individuals (born 1980 and 1985) who are associated with organized crime have caught up with the police due to past crimes. The most severe preventive detention measure for them is arrest.
The pre-trial investigation is controlled by prosecutors from the Organized Crime Investigation and Corruption Division of the Panevėžys Regional Prosecutor’s Office. Article 260 of the CC provides for a prison sentence of up to 10 years for this crime.
