Tesla cars have the so-called Sentinel Mode. Use autopilot cameras to capture possible attacks against the car. These cameras, arranged around the entire car, often detect various vandals and even thieves. Besides, they can also act as a very good car video recorder.
However, the driver of this Tesla Model 3 probably did not think that the cameras in his electric car would not pick up any traffic accidents, but the actual firearm attack. The Model 3 flipped the GMC SUV around and saw it again a few miles later.
An off-road driver who drowned an electric car fired at least four shots through an open window. The Model 3 owner is happy to have avoided injuries and says he does not know why his life was attacked. Since the entire trip was captured by the car cameras, we can believe the driver that the incident was unprovoked.
The Tesla Model 3 is not a bulletproof car, but the driver was lucky – two bullets got stuck in the driver’s door lock. Another hit the rear window motor and one slammed the door and got stuck in the back seat.
Clearly, the video was turned over to the police and they were smart to find the culprit. The attacker probably did not know he was being filmed. He faces big charges: his insane behavior could have taken his life (it is not known if he sought it out).
The Model 3 was badly damaged – the car will cost $ 8,300 to repair. You will need new doors, seats, and paint. The Tesla Cybertruck would be better prepared for such an attack – its body and even the windows are bulletproof for small arms.
You can see the running of the Tesla model from 00:17 sec.
