Neringa doubled the rate in spring and autumn for swallowing cars, and a one-time fee of EUR 500 is envisaged for four.
On Thursday, the Neringa City Council increased the rate for passenger cars from 5 to 10 euros in spring and autumn, while extending the time when higher rates are applied to buses and caravans. It will be more expensive to pay to drive in May the 131 days and September 16 and 30.
Rates previously higher than off-season rates were in effect on June 119 and August 2131.
The same driving fee of EUR 5 will be applied to passenger cars on April 31.
According to the decision of the City Council, during the season the tax of 30 Eur for passenger cars will remain valid in summer, but will apply for a longer period between June 1 and September 15 (previously it was from June 20 to August 20 ).
Likewise, the rate of 1530 Eur is established, depending on the season, for cars that tow a caravan, thus equating the rate with the toll that applies to motorhomes that drive themselves.
The municipality pays attention to the fact that the toll for passenger cars is introduced when more and more tourists arrive at the resort out of season.
