24 people died last day from COVID-19, aged between 30 and 99, according to data released by Statistics Lithuania on Wednesday.

A total of 15 men and nine women died last day.

Most of the deaths, eight, were in the 60-69 age group.

Six people each died in the age groups 70 to 79 and 80 to 89 years.

Two of the deceased were between 90 and 99 years old, one between 50 and 59 and another between 30 and 39 years old.

The Department of Statistics indicates that “the number of deaths in the last day is preliminary and increases between 20 and 40 percent in a few days.”
