A Russian runner who entered a group of Finnish skiers celebrating after the finish is accused of injury. Lahti police are currently investigating the circumstances of the incident.

The statement was reportedly made to the police by two people whose names have not been released.

The Norwegian race won the men’s race on Sunday. A. Bolshunov competed with Finn Yoni Maki for silver on the line. The latter, breaking forward a little, began to block the Russian’s path, and the latter leaned on his stick.

Finally, Y. Maki was second and began to celebrate with the teammates on the relay team. At that moment, A. Bolshunov broke into him and threw him to the ground.

Subsequently, the International Ski Federation (FIS) took the bronze away from the Russian team due to the unsportsmanlike conduct of A. Bolshunov. However, third place was taken by the second team of the Russian national team, which also participated in the race, finishing fourth.
