Summarizing the information from the STI, M. Majauskas affirms that the practice of judges to provide various training services raises doubts.
“Judges have a special role to play in society. Therefore, it is essential to guarantee their impartiality and the objectivity of their decisions. Unfortunately, the practice of judges in the provision of various training services casts doubt on the correct management of conflicts of interest. Judges are not prohibited from teaching or training, on the contrary, sharing experiences, jurisprudence is an important occupation.
However, this cannot become a commercial activity in which an individual can order the training of a particular judge in a private company. In my opinion, this practice is inappropriate, ”says the politician.
