The Jordanian initiative is reported to donate 100 million over 10 years. USD for organizations fighting for racial equality, social justice and more accessible education for blacks.
“We feel a responsibility to contribute to the black community and seek to have an impact in the fight against racial discrimination. There is a lot of work to do, “said Craig Williams, president of Jordan Brand.
Last Sunday, Jordan himself circulated a statement expressing his support for people protesting in the United States.
The hatred in the streets was due to the murder of a black United States police officer by George Floyd, who was arrested and put to the ground for trying to pay for a potentially forged ticket.
The officer pressed the man’s neck for a few minutes until he finally stopped moving.
