Luka Dončičius scored another triple-double and improved the achievement of the legendary Michael Jordan, but the impressive Slovenian game was not enough for the Dallas Mavericks team (6-6).

Rick Carlisle’s students at home 101: 117 (23:27, 29:40, 23:22, 26:28) landed for the Chicago Bulls (5-8), which ended a four-game losing series.
Dončičius scored 36 points in 38 minutes (7/19 double, 6/11 trit., 4/6 penalty), bounced 16 and took 2 balls, made 15 assists and committed 4 errors. 15 productive transfers: the best Slovenian result this season.
Slovenia had scored 30 points in the first half of the match alone, but did not pass such a successful game into the second half.
Dončičius, who started his third season in the NBA, has already posted the 29th triple-double of his career. Jordan has accumulated 28 triple-doubles throughout his career.
The Bulls got away in the second half. Zach LaVine scored four straight penalties, Lauri Markkanen scored a three-point lead, Gareth Temple added four more points in a row and Chicago’s lead was 18 points – 52:34.
The Mavericks had cut the deficit to 9 points a couple of times, but still couldn’t make a decisive push for the rest of the game.
Markkanen, who played the best game of the season for the Bulls, scored 29 points in 32 minutes (8/12 double, 2/7 trit., 7/8 penalty), 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 errors.
The Chicago team’s victory was not hampered by the more modest performances of the leaders. Zach LaVine scored 10 points when Coby White didn’t score any points.
Neither team shined shooting 3s. The Mavericks scored 8 of 31 long shots (26 percent), while the Bulls scored 7 of 25 (28 percent).
The Chicago team also had 32 assists, while the entire Dallas team had 18. In the Mavs’ ranks, Dončičius had only 15 assists.
