New members of the LRTK starting January 21. will replace outgoing Mantas Martišiai and Laurynas Jonavičius.
L. Bielinis and A. Nugaraitė are professors in the Department of Public Communication of the Faculty of Political Science and Diplomacy of Vytautas Magnus University. Both candidates are recognized authorities in the media and political science, with many years of academic experience, excellent knowledge of Lithuanian political and public information systems and the latest communication trends, according to the Presidency report.
L. Bielinis is a former advisor to President Valdas Adamkus, head of the Internal Policy and Analysis Group, founder and editor of the magazines Politologija and AGORA, Estudios de Comunicación Política. The professor has organized numerous cycles of lectures and seminars, radio and online media dedicated to the activities of the Seimas, politicians and the development of parliamentarism in Lithuania, cooperates with the media and has published books analyzing the quality of the system political and parliamentary activities.
A. Nugaraitė is a former senior advisor to President Dalia Grybauskaitė, director of the Institute of Journalism at Vilnius University, and manager of many international projects. As an expert, she has contributed to the activities of institutions such as the Lithuanian Image Strategy Group, the Media Council of the Ministry of Culture, the Lithuanian Press, Radio and Television Support Fund, the Lithuanian Scientific Council and many others.
