“Once again, we call on international institutions [primindami], “how important it is to establish an international criminal court for Belarus”, says P. Latsuka in a video message posted on the social network “Telegram” through the NAV channel.

For the sixth month in a row, Belarus has been plagued by massive protests over the August 9 presidential election, which Lukashenko has ruled the country since 1994. The opposition and western democracies claim that the elections were rigged and that the winner is seen as the political rookie Sviatlan Cichanouskaya, who replaced her incarcerated husband in the fight for the presidency.

The protesters are demanding the resignation of Lukashenko, the release of political prisoners and new elections.

The BYPOL opposition initiative, which unites former members of the force, released an audio recording online on Friday, according to a statement made in October last year by Deputy Interior Minister Mikalay Karpiankov with officers from the militia.

The recording hears a man named by activists as Karpiankov demonstrate powerful new pistols bought in Russia to fire rubber bullets, and mentions that Aliaksandr Taraikovsky, who was killed in the August protests, “died, of course, from a rubber bullet”. chest ‘.

In the text of the conversations heard on the recording, which were also published by the Belarusian news portal Tut.by, M. Karpiankov emphasizes that “a Russian traumatic weapon, at close range, is no different from combat.”

The man heard in the recording also said that “all those who are taking to the streets to participate in the rail war, blocking the roads, attacking militiamen, throwing Molotov cocktails – the terrorists themselves – are unnecessary people in our country.”

“Use the weapon against him directly in the forehead, right in the face, right there. After that, he will never … return to the state he was in. Well, he will revive, he will revive. He won’t have half his brain anymore, well, there you have some, ”says the person at the registry.

The alleged N. Karpiankov also hinted at the need to establish a special camp for arrested protesters and opposition supporters.

“A database is being created. According to this database, whoever gets stuck a second time has [arešte] And stay. It is ordered to prepare and establish a camp … – not for the military, not even for the inmates, but to isolate the camp with especially sharp helmets. And fenced in with barbed wire … Keep them there until everyone calms down, “the man said.

Mr. Latuška promised to pass the record on to the United Nations Security Council, the European Council, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and the Council of Europe, as well as to the governments of the United States and Russia.

“We will raise the question of recognizing the Lukashenko regime as a terrorist,” the opposition said.

He added that the General Council for the Fight against Organized Crime and Corruption in Belarus (GUBAZiK) and the special forces of the OMON militia (AMAP) should be recognized as terrorist organizations at the international level.
