UAB Bravo Events received more than 13 thousand LTL for the postponed concert of F. Kirkorov. UAB Mon voyage received almost 17 thousand euros for the postponed performances of M. Šufutinskis. benefit.
According to A.Tapinas, this is wrong, because it is not enough that such artists are judged ambiguously in Lithuania for their loyalty to Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, their concerts have not even been canceled, so said benefit has no real reason to be paid.
Andrius Tapinas’s recording, which he shared with People.lt:
“We confuse music with politics.
When you think it won’t be better, the people in our government say, wait, look at how we still know how to surprise. In this letter, the Culture Council awarded more than 30,000 euros in compensation to people who were unable to bring Kirkirov and Šufutinski to Lithuania.
I would have understood that this would be compensation for not transporting Kirkirov and Šufutinski back to Lithuania, but unfortunately this is not the case.
We support with state money entrepreneurial, who put everything in it and transport the characters here, who lick a soft spot for Putin, support the bloodthirsty dictator Lukashenko and give a concert in occupied Crimea.
Kirkorov made a film in support of Lukashenko in September, called Crimea Russia’s favorite place in October, and congratulated the most beautiful president on his birthday. King Shufutinski of Bandiugans Chanson has also given several concerts in occupied Crimea.
Even more interesting is that the concerts have not been canceled, but have only been moved to UAB Mon Voyage, which will allow us to enjoy Šufutinskis in Vilnius and Klaipėda in April, and Kirkorov, brought by Bravo events, will sing “Ja za tebia umru ” in June. So there are no very big losses.

PS For the sake of openness, I say that Laisvės TV also received compensation for the shooting of Keep There in various Lithuanian cities that did not take place throughout the year, but last time I checked, we do not support bloody regimes or filming in occupied Crimea, “Tapinas commented on Facebook.
Filipas Kirkorovas presented the show “I” / Irmantas Gelūnas / 15min photo in Vilnius.
Portal People.lt requested comments from both companies and has yet to receive a response. We remind you that the company “Eventos Bravo”, among other concerts, also organizes the largest music festival in the country “Granatos Live”.
The minister sees it as a blunder and an absurdity
Culture Minister Simonas Kairys regards the grants given by the Lithuanian Council of Culture to the UAB Mon Voyage and UAB Bravo events as a glimpse, but emphasized that this was due to the flawed grant procedure above, which led to such absurdities.
In response to the discussion in the public space, the Lithuanian Council of Culture also commented on Facebook:
“First of all, we want to highlight that the Lithuanian Culture Council did not allocate funding for the UAB Bravo Events and UAB Mon Voyage projects, that is, it did not finance the performances of the artists mentioned. In all the cases mentioned, the Lithuanian Council of Culture awarded compensation to the organizers of the canceled events. There was no legal basis for compensation; we would like to emphasize that this program was designed to reduce the cultural consequences of the emergency and was specifically directed at event organizers. Therefore, during the evaluation of the applications, only the verification of the financial documents submitted by the event organizers was carried out, and not the artistic or cultural quality of the events.
Grants were paid to all event organizers who reported losses due to canceled, relocated, or otherwise adjusted events in Lithuania or abroad. It was decided to pay the grants as soon as the administrative checks on the submitted applications and financial documents had been carried out, without waiting for all the applications submitted by other organizers and the accompanying financial documents to be verified.
Applications were reviewed in the order in which they were submitted, depending on the extent to which each organization submitted the applications and the supporting documents submitted by them. A total of 10 decisions have been made by the Lithuanian Council of Culture to award grants, all of which are available at www.ltkt.lt “.
The criterion could be very simple: you are operating in occupied Crimea, you are not desirable in Lithuania.
After comments from the Lithuanian Minister and Culture Council, Andrius Tapinas asked the president of the Seimas Culture Committee, Vytautas Juozapaitis, and the president of the National Security and Defense Committee, Laurynas Kasčiūnas, to consider the situation as soon as possible. and propose a solution to change the list of undesirable persons in Lithuania.
“The criteria could be very simple: you are acting in occupied Crimea, you are undesirable in Lithuania,” wrote A. Tapinas on Facebook. He also noted that we are financing the Kirkorov concert, which will take place on June 14, our Day of Mourning and Hope, with money from the state. “He is spitting on us, we are cleaning up and offering more money for that,” he said.
