Officials from the Radviliškis District Police Station noticed that the car driven by the man was stopped on Gedimino Street. The sentiment of the officials led investigators from the Operations Department to take a closer look at the car.
It contained three five-liter plastic containers with a clear liquid. It was not water. The smell of homemade vodka smelled of unturned dishes, Šiauliai County Police report.
A man who had previously lived in Radviliškis admitted that he had transported his homemade vodka to a resident of Radviliškis, at the latter’s request. I expected to earn 75 euros.
The detainee “not only had the house” in the car. After searching his house in the Joniškis district, the officers found another 117 liters of the same alcohol and a device to produce it.
It was found in the outdoor kitchen, where the process of making homemade vodka took place. The man spoke in a very controversial way: here he said that he ran the house for his own needs, and then that he himself was not drinking.
Regardless of the purpose for which the domestic vodka is produced, the law establishes criminal liability for such production.
A pre-trial investigation was launched in Joniškis in relation to the illegal production, storage and transport of domestic strong alcoholic beverages. While living in Radviliškis, the man also participated in law enforcement for a similar crime and was found guilty.
By the way, this time the man transported the “house” in a car that did not go through a mandatory technical inspection. Thus, he was also made available to the Code of Administrative Offenses and had to pay a fine.
