Zenit St Petersburg, who host Kaunas “Žalgiris” on Friday, received reinforcements on the front row.

The club represented by Artūras Gudaitis officially announced that it had signed a contract with Tarik Black. The 29-year-old American fills in the gaps that opened after Alex Poythress dropped out of the lineup.
Sir. Coach Xavi Pascualis is preparing a game plan with Žalgiris without him. A newcomer is expected to arrive soon.
Black, who began his professional career in the NBA, has played for Maccabi Tel Aviv for the past two years. Last season, his stats in the Euroleague were 9.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 10.6 utility points.
Black represented the Houston Rockets and the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA. In the 220 games played, he spent an average of 15.1 minutes on the court, scoring 4.9 points and grabbing 4.7 balls.
Poythress has not competed for ankle pain since late December. It is not yet clear how long he will not be able to play yet.
The 27-year-old Euroleague forward has 9.3 points and 4.9 rebounds this season.
The confrontation between Žalgiris and Zenit will begin on Friday in Saint Petersburg from 7:00 p.m.
The St. Petersburg club started the Euroleague double week with a failure in Munich at 80:82.
