US media reported that Vice President Mike Pence’s chief of staff, Marc Short, had not been admitted to the White House, likely due to Pence’s decision to ignore Trump’s demand to block confirmation of Biden’s victory.
In Washington, outraged by Wednesday’s events, there have been rumors of a possible resignation of senior officials in the D. Rump administration.
Biden will assume the presidency after being sworn in on January 20.
