“In the initial stage of the concept, we chose the genre of the film and wanted it not to be a music video, but a three-minute trailer that would ask the viewer more questions than answers. No need to explain the content of a song or clip, this time you want to leave room for the fantasy and personal evaluation of the viewer. For me personally, this song and this clip are the end of one of the creative stages and the beginning of the next. “This is the last project left in the computer folder, which I chose to present before diving into the process of a new album,” said Donatas.
Forum Cinemas Vingis organized the event on the cinema stage Delphi Gintarė Urnikienė, editor of the “Faces” section, spoke not only with the interpreter Donatas Montvydas, but also with the team members who contributed to the creation of the video clip. Director Jevgenij Tichonov and cameraman Jaroslav Gavrin helped implement the ideas.
Interlocutors revealed that the video was filmed outside of Lithuania.
“We filmed in Ukraine. Sometimes it is necessary to change the horizon, to see something new,” Jaroslav said.
Donatas added that filming in another country is an opportunity for life.
“It was a new opportunity for me to go somewhere. <...> I felt different from those people. “The way they don’t know me, the way they know me here,” said the artist.
The director of the video said that in Ukraine Donatas had some difficulties: food poisoning.
“It just came to our attention then. So filming was challenging,” said Jevgenij.
When asked how he had managed to empathize with the role of the actor, Donatas admitted that he had not attempted to do so.
“I’m a musician, I’m writing songs, and my goal in this clip was to just get up.” As I did? I have comments for myself. <...> I look and think: it could have been better here. Let’s leave it to the people, “said Montvydas.
Many people have asked that she be the girl who starred in the video for the song “No Strings”. The interlocutors replied that she was a famous Ukrainian actress Victoria.
“We did a long casting. We have many photos. When we went to Ukraine, we had several options. Sure, we were looking for a certain type of girl, but chemistry was still very important to Donat. <...> We did the tests, we told him to name him along with Donatas. When we saw that girl, she was able to do all the chores, agreed to everything, and Donatas felt that it was comfortable for him to work with her. We all get together, “said Yevgeny.

D. Montvyd’s new video was filmed in Ukraine, in a gigantic abandoned factory. A large team of professionals working in the international film industry contributed to its development.
