For the work of the Committee, its member will be paid 0.5 (for an independent member – 1.5) and the committee chair – 1 MMA per month, that is, twice the current salary of the group chairperson. The total remuneration for being an ordinary member of the Board and co-chairing the committee increases from 1.65 MMA (€ 1,001.55) to 2.5 MMA (€ 1,605), slightly more than 60% of the previous remuneration of the Board and its leader of group.
Liudvikas Gadeikis, president of the LRT Council, informed tv3.lt that a new version of the law regulating the activities of the national broadcaster will come into force at the beginning of this year. According to the president, he and other members increased their salaries in response to “increased workload and responsibilities.”
As previously announced, the LRT Council has increased the salaries of the institution’s director general, Monika Garbačiauskaitė-Budrienė, and her deputy Gytis Oganauskas since this year.
