The 34-year-old man left a message for his followers. Here Alexander claims that addiction ruined his life.

“I lived a long time with a secret. I have been addicted to antidepressants and hypnotics for 11 years.

It all started innocently, but in the end it almost ruined my life. In January of this year, I started rehabilitation (with the great help of the doctors) and little by little I begin to feel again. The pills that I have taken in recent years have weakened and constantly worried me. They affected not only my brain but also my muscles and my stomach.

They ruined my relationships with people, but most importantly, they practically destroyed my hope of living. I know that there are many people struggling with the same problems, so I will share my experiences with you in the coming weeks. If someone learns from my mistakes, I will feel better, “admitted Alexander Rybak, the winner of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest, to his fans.
