“It is good that even during the pandemic, residents created a festive atmosphere not only for homeowners, but also for those around them, decorating the environment in which they live. In fact, a large group of participants were delighted by the original solutions and the handmade decorations. Most surprising was the population’s ability to concentrate even in such difficult conditions. The spaces were decorated with families, one by one, dividing the works. After all, this is the goal of this competition: to bring communities together and decorate their surroundings, inspiring others, ”says Deputy Mayor Violeta Riaukienė.
Contestants were judged based on whether the spaces were decorated with handcrafted ornaments made from natural, eco-friendly, or other unexpected materials.
“Thanks to everyone who participated in the competition and created a festive atmosphere. The spaces are really cleverly decorated, involving neighbors, employees, colleagues. Well, communication is the greatest value,” says Deputy Mayor Violeta Riaukienė.
The winners of this year’s exterior decoration contest for the pandemic will not traditionally be awarded to the Three Wise Men, but when the situation allows it.
