According to Renata Keršienė, representative of the retail chain Rimi, on the eve of New Year’s Day, December 31, it will run shorter than usual, but longer than the last day of the year last year, until 9 p.m.
On the morning of New Year’s Eve, Rimi supermarkets will open their doors later than usual, but before January 1 of this year, 2020, they will meet their customers at 10 in the morning ”, adds R. Keršienė.
The representative adds that employees of the Rimi retail chain also often express their desire to work on holidays.
“When creating work schedules on holidays, we always have employees who express their desire to work. One of the reasons is to pay double, which encourages you to work during the holidays and thus earn more.
In addition, Rimi employs many young people, students, people who have already started a family and who take care of the children themselves. The opportunity to work during the holidays gives them flexibility to combine science, childcare and work schedules, ”says R. Keršienė, a Rimi media representative on working during the holidays.
