An unidentified buyer offered 3.65 million for the former dormitory of the Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences (LEU) in Žvėrynas, Vilnius. euros. This was the first auction to sell this property.
Tomas Bagdonas, a spokesperson for Turto bankas, informed BNS that 12 participants had participated in the auction. Its winner has not yet been announced; the new owner usually registers with the Records Center after the parties have signed the contract and the buyer has transferred the money. In November, the Saulius Skvernelis government allowed Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) to sell the former LEU dormitory and the adjacent premises run by it, and the university will be able to use the money received for the Teacher Training Center in Kaunas.
It was later announced that the buildings were valued at $ 3.33 million. They were managed by VMU on a fiduciary basis as of 2018 after the reorganization of LEU.
The central building of the former LEU is currently handed over to Vilnius College, all other buildings to the Property Bank.
