There is a robbery in mind that was committed the night before Monday. A video of a shoplifting was posted online. It shows the crowd breaking into the boutique. After a few minutes, people start fleeing the store to hide with the hijacked items before the police arrive.
The post also quotes a Rolex spokesperson who said the thieves did not pick up anything: the watches were removed from the store in advance, and the villains only broke windows and display cases.
Bloomingdale’s, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana and other prestigious boutiques have also been affected by the riots in New York.
Mass protests and riots over the death of African American George Floyd have continued in many cities in the United States since early last week.
