According to the case data, in the summer of 2018, in the old town of Klaipeda, R. Rudzevičius bought drugs: cannabis of an unknown type.

Neither during the pre-trial investigation nor in court did the man recall the exact amount of drugs purchased, they could have been at least 0.811g. The drugs were taken to a rented apartment in Klaipeda and held there, reports the Šiauliai Regional Court.

A few days later, BMW drove these drugs by car to a house in a village in the Telšiai district. He divided the drugs he had bought from a stranger in his home and kept some of the so-called “herbs” in a box of food in the kitchen closet. The drugs were then transferred to the emergency rooms. During the search, during the pre-trial investigation, police officers found them here.

In court R. Rudzevičius stated that he met two girls through one of the social networks: I.K. and S.S. The man agreed to meet the girls.

On March 3, 2019, around 9 a.m., the three met in Klaipeda city and headed to the Klaipeda district, Šakiniai village, to drink champagne. The man did not deny that the girls mentioned that they would have “herbs.”

Fifteen-year-old I.K., according to her husband, immediately offered to smoke cannabis, and they did. S.S., two years older than his girlfriend. The “grass” did not smoke.

R.R. They said the girls knew they were minors, but did not believe there could be criminal liability for giving drugs to a minor. A couple of days later, the three of them met again and decided to go to R. Rudzevičius’s house, which is located in a village in the Telšiai district. Along the way, he stopped in the woods in the same village of Šakiniai. And this time only I.K. smoked cannabis with R.Rudzevičius.

In the village, at his home, R. Rudzevičius not only smoked “weed” along with I.K., but also consumed alcohol. The defendant said in court that he had fallen asleep that night after drinking alcohol. And when he woke up in the morning, he found neither the girls nor his car at home.

The owner of a BMW house with broken tires soon found himself in a village. During the auto theft investigation, officers detained I.K. and S.S., the history of drugs also quickly became clear. A criminal case was initiated against R. Rudzevičius.

The court recognized that R. Rudzevičius’ responsibility was mitigated by the fact that he confessed to having committed a criminal act and sincerely regretted it. In imposing the sentence, the court also assessed the fact that the accused was working, characterized only positively by place of residence, past and present jobs. For the crime committed, the court sentenced R. Rudzevičius to 2 years in prison.

This judgment is invalid and can be appealed to the Lithuanian Court of Appeal within 20 days.

Car theft in another criminal case in 2020 I.K., S.S. and two other young men. The verdict is being appealed and the case is currently being heard in the Šiauliai Regional Court.
