Representatives of the State Border Guard Service (SBGS) selected 10 most interesting cases when drivers told border guards about their travel destinations over Christmas. None of these people were punished by SBGS officials, only wishing them a good holiday and ordering the car to be turned around.
1. The driver from Šakiai municipality explained that he was transporting a package that he would have to send to the Jurbarkas post office. SBGS officials asked to show the package. The man admitted that he would not allow it.
2. The driver coming from Visaginas assured the border guards that he would have to get to Ignalina. The reason is that before the holidays, Maxima bought pants in the supermarket, which turns out that they did not fit her, so it is necessary to change clothes or withdraw money.
3. The driver transporting the bag of potato peels from Pagėgiai had to reach his garden plot in Jurbarkas municipality, because this waste had to be composted.
4. Two people from Druskininkai were ready to go to Lazdijai district because they wanted to swim in the lake.
5. Driver at 10 pm from Jurbarkas drove to the cemetery in Šakiai district; it was necessary to light candles there.
6. Without food, the dog is hungry. As a result, Visaginas drivers had to come to Ignalina and buy food for the pet.
