Andrius Perlys, the owner of the house of exceptional beauty, tells the news portal tv3.lt that all the holidays are very dear to his heart, but this year Christmas will be truly magical, because the spirit here simply enchants and creates a special festive atmosphere.
Before showing the decorated house to his family, the man asked, “Have you seen a beautiful and cozy Christmas card?” As expected, the answer was yes. Then Andrius asked something else: “And did you have to be in it?”
And in fact, the farm reminds of a real postcard and takes you to a magical fairy tale, where all miracles seem to come true …

Raised the collapsed clown to a second life
The future of the charming farm on the shore of Lake Dusia was uncertain a few years ago, because after a severe storm in the Dzūkija district, a lime boiled over an old clown.
“The roof was raining, so it was necessary to decide what to do, either to demolish it completely or to tidy it up. I didn’t want to tear it down, so my friends and I changed the roof, and then I started to think that there was still something to be done ”Says Vilnius.
Although maintaining the house took a lot of time and effort, Andrius says it was never thought to throw everything away, because internal stubbornness and the desire to create a place for the family to spend time led to:
“There used to be a lot of work and you didn’t have time to do everything, enough time. But the quarantine helped a lot, because I had more time for myself, my family, I often came here and did everything right.
For me it was a hobby, a kind of relaxation, I did everything for my family and friends so that we could come here, be there, celebrate the holidays ”.
The house was decorated by himself
However, Andrius probably surprised his family and friends more by the way he decorated the house, because a man who had absolutely nothing to do with interior design did everything himself.
“In the summer the house was decorated in the Provencal style, in the fall I had a witch banquet for family and friends, and then I thought I needed to dress up for Christmas.
I can’t even imagine where that vein came from because I don’t have a general understanding of design – I haven’t read, seen, or studied. That’s how it all turns out, because I see the vision and imagine how it should be, ”says Andrius, who is not looking for inspiration.
He adds that even the friends who saw what the clown initially looked like couldn’t believe what they saw after seeing the final result.
“Friends helped me change the roof and only saw the ruined building, so when I saw the house before the Christmas decorations, I asked if I had done everything here myself. I said yes, and they, having known me all my life as something completely different, said that maybe I was not working in that job ”, laughs the interlocutor.
Expectations met
Andrius says that all the farm items appeared gradually, because his goal was not to go to the supermarket and buy everything at once:
“I want to give things a second life, so I found many items and decorations that were already about to be discarded. So one year I fixed something, the other I finally bought what was missing and the final image came out. “
What the ruined clown became lived up to the man’s expectations and his goal of proving that virtually nothing could turn into a place of breathtaking beauty:
“My goal was to show that the farm does not have brown logs, wooden boards, benches inside with tables, where chebra meets to improve. This farm has a different concept, it is important for me that it is cozy and beautiful here for the family and the people who visit ”.
He looks forward to inviting others next year.
After all, Christmas is when you want it most, so Andrius decided to turn the farm into a real Santa Claus residence. The man was born with the idea of what a house decorated with Christmas decorations should look like and set out to implement it.
“I kept everything a secret from my family until the last minute and only when I had prepared everything, did I light candles and invite them in. They had no words, they all jumped like children ”, smiles Andrius.
He says he believed in his vision from the beginning and did everything as his heart dictated. However, although the man expected the end result to be very beautiful, he did not expect to receive so much attention and beautiful words from those around him.
“It was an idea to make such a mystique for me and my friends that Santa lives here. Since they had been here before, I told them the story that Santa Claus from Lapland saw pictures of the farm, came and asked if he could stay here for the winter. And they believed.
A friend dressed Santa Claus and the children’s reactions were not realistic, I was very happy. I imagined everything like this, I wanted it to look like this, but I didn’t really have a plan to learn more about it than my family and friends, ”says Andrius warmly.
It is true that due to the quarantine announced in the country, others could not enjoy this miracle for a short time, so he hopes that next year the farm will be admired not only by his family:
“It is a pity that everything ended quickly, because many people would like to visit, see, but we do not allow it, everything is closed. Therefore, this year we are happy with the family, and during next Christmas we hope to invite others as well ”.
