The founding meeting also elected the members of the Union Board: former Attorneys General Antanas Klimavičius and Vladas Nikitinas, Deputy Attorney General Vytautas Barkauskas, Chief Prosecutor of the Territorial Prosecutor Arvydas Pocius, the signatories and former prosecutors Egidijus Bičiemelis and Vidmantas Bičkauskas.
According to A. Paulauskas, the union is already registered in the Registry Center and will function for the purposes set forth in its statutes.
The organization is expected to contribute to the improvement of the country’s laws and help increase the professionalism of law enforcement agencies and the prestige of the legal profession.
