The bill proposes to provide for the extension of the job search benefit by stipulating that the job search benefit is terminated one month after the revocation of the declared emergency or quarantine or the expiration of at least one of them.

In addition, it is proposed to provide for the possibility that a person who receives a job search allowance may suspend payment of this allowance at his request.
According to preliminary calculations by the Ministry of Social Affairs, the funding requirement for salary subsidies and job search benefits foreseen in the bill for 2021 is 230.6 million LTL. euros from the state budget.
