Kaunas “Žalgiris” entered two basketball players from the youth team in the team competing in the “Betsafe-LKL” championship.
The two points are launched this season
Mantas Rubštavičius and Paulius Murauskas will have the opportunity to join the main team, which will continue to spend most of their time with Kaunas “Žalgiris-2” basketball players who compete in the National Basketball League (NKL).
The 18-year-old defender Rubštavičius is one of the most important figures in the doubles “Žalgiris” this season. The basketball player earns an average of 11.4 points per game, bounces 3.3 balls, makes 1.5 assists and accumulates 11.8 utility points.
The 16-year-old forward Murauskas, voted the best young Lithuanian U16 basketball player of 2020, records similar figures in NKL championships. The young Žalgiris player earns an average of 11.2 points, rebounds after 4.2 balls, makes 1.8 assists and accumulates 9.3 utility points.
In turn, the Kaunas team “Žalgiris-2” competing in the NKL registered the defender Liutauras Lelevičius, 201 cm tall, aged 17.
This season, Lelevičius also defends the honor of Kaunas third team “Žalgiris” in the Regional Basketball League (RKL). Kaunas RKL played three games and spent an average of 21 minutes on the field, scoring 12 points (50 percent trit.), Bouncing 2.7 and grabbing 1 ball each and scoring 10.7 utility points.
