STI: companies on the new list will receive tax assistance until the middle of next year

According to E. Janušienė, tax deferral should not be allowed for all affected companies, but only on the list of activities prohibited during quarantine approved by the two ministries.

“The STI requests assistance only to those companies that will be listed in the order of the Ministry of Economy and Innovation and the Ministry of Social Security and Labor,” he added.

Skaistė Barauskienė, representative of the Ministry of Economy and Innovation, informed BNS that the Ministry had already submitted the draft list to the Ministry of Social Security and Labor for approval.

According to Rūta Asadauskaitė, STI’s Head of Communication, if companies currently receiving tax aid are no longer included in the new list, they must be established by the end of February 2021.

62,000 companies in the country have been recognized as victims of the prohibition or restriction of their activities during the first quarantine of the spring. 50,000 of these, the tax aid measures have been applied automatically – they are valid until the end of this year, but companies have to settle accounts with the STI or finally agree on payment terms by the end of February.
