A painful disaster occurred on Wednesday morning in the village of Miroslav in the Alytus district. A residential house caught fire on School Street. Upon the arrival of firefighters, the bodies of two burned people were found inside the house.
According to Edita Zdanevičienė, Chief Specialist of the Communication Division of the Fire Protection and Rescue Department, the firefighters received the fire report at 05.44. The first firefighting team on the scene was already five minutes away. When they arrived, the house burned with an open flame.
Firefighters who entered the building found the bodies of two people burned in it. For the moment, their identities are still valid on the scene.
The burning house was put out by nine firefighters and three tanker trucks had arrived.
The house where the fire broke out – brick, the roof is covered with slate. By putting out the fire, we managed to save the nearby outdoor kitchen, the outhouse.
Police officers are also working at the scene. They received a report of the fire at 6:39 p.m.

According to a police spokeswoman, the bodies of the cohabitants, a man and a woman, were found in the house.
