We remind you that the conflict arose in the summer, when Vilnius police officers noticed that Sela was driving a luxury Bentley car and possibly using a mobile phone. When the perpetrator’s car was stopped, he did not agree with the violation, a conflict arose between the men and Egidijus resisted the legal demands of the officers, for which he was immediately handcuffed and put in the official car of the officers.
To get Sela out of the car, the officers had to use special means: a gas cylinder and then handcuffs.
“As the driver did not comply with the legal demands of the policemen and before the arrest with his hands and feet, he dealt several blows to the policemen, the man was arrested. A pre-trial investigation has been initiated pursuant to Article 286 of the CC of the Republic of Lithuania, ”the summary submitted by the Police Department was written.
The next day, around noon, the famous lawyer Adomas Liutvinskas arrived at the Vilnius Detention Center, where E. Dragūnas is being held. He did not provide any information to the assembled journalists and entered the building saying only that the artist would be released that day.
The aforementioned lawyer has already helped E. Dragūnas in previous problems with the police. A. Liutvinskas defended the singer in the case last year, in which the singer was accused of insulting and humiliating an official.
The next day, his fiancee Kotryna Kozlovaitė also visited Selas in custody. After the E. Dragūnas interview, the lawyer who interacted with the journalists said it was unclear when Selas would be able to return home.
Soon they were going to do blood tests because this was not done after his arrest. The artist was checked for alcohol and alcohol. According to the lawyer, E. Dragūnas accused the officers of misconduct at the time.
“A person feels completely normal because he is completely absent from anything. When officials behave as they should not, it is bad. He’s “lucky” with the officials, the lawyer said wryly. “From what I have heard from Egidio, the officers did the wrong thing.”
When asked why a blood test was needed, the interviewee did not say much: “This is the decision that was made.” When asked if it was possible to investigate whether E. Dragūnas used psychotropic substances, the lawyer replied: “Probably. Although yesterday he said he wanted to donate blood, he did not take it. “
Returning to the main topic of why E. Dragūnas was detained, the lawyer recounted the singer’s words.
“He had a mobile phone in his hands. It was written that way. Egidio himself says that maybe he did, maybe not. He said that maybe he could keep a wallet at that time. Later, the lawyer assured that if the agents had been captured by a citizen other than E. Dragūnas, the scandal could have been avoided.

One day after the incident on the street, E. Dragūnas was finally released to go home.

When asked how he was treated in custody, the singer assured him that he had no claims against the officers who were there.
“It just came to our knowledge then. Some are people of moderately low intelligence who actually, like the people of yesterday, walk with firearms in the street, with an electric shock, with gas. This is a good example that it was another replay when they stopped me with Lamborghini the last time. Then it was found that I was not running anywhere. It was exactly the same here. He saw me, he turned around and when a man, an official who came up to me and explained I didn’t need a mask, I started talking about my stylistics, ”she told reporters in the summer.
“I don’t usually have time for such things, but this time I will go to the end,” added the artist.
When asked if he personally knew the officer who detained him, E. Dragūnas said no, but shared an excerpt from a short conversation that took place after the conflict.
“No. He just came up behind me and came and said he just wanted to get up and talk. In my opinion, his job is not to talk to me, there are many more important things he must do,” said the singer.
“It just came to our attention then. It was always filmed. Previous policemen, who said for the first time that there was no material left, were also filmed. Police: If a person does not comply, officers have the right to use force
Delfi contacted a representative of the police regarding the lawyer’s words, in which he related the position of E. Dragūnas, in which he claimed to have experienced physical pain from the officials.
Ramūnas Matonis, a representative from the Police Department, explained: “If a person does not comply with the legal requirements of the officers, the police have the right to use force. This is provided for in the Police Act. “
