On Sunday, the government led by Ingrida Šimonytė decided that after these holidays, primary school students would not return to school, they would study remotely until January 31.
Last week, the decision was also made to fully transfer seniors to distance education. It came into force last Wednesday.
Education in schools according to primary and secondary education programs is carried out at a distance, except for pupils educated in special schools and special classes of general education schools.
With the introduction of quarantine on November 7, education, with the exception of daycare and primary education, was remote or mixed.
Pre-schools remain open, but parents are advised to leave their children at home if there is a possibility to supervise them.
