Lithuania is the first in Europe in terms of COVID-19

Lithuania ranks first among the European Center for Disease Control and Prevention (ECDC) in terms of morbidity from COVID-19, and Lithuania ranks thirteenth in terms of mortality.

According to the center, the two-week morbidity rate in the country reached 1,146.7 cases per 100,000 inhabitants on Sunday and surpassed Luxembourg in the 31st state in terms of the indicator so far.

According to deaths from coronavirus, Lithuania is ranked 13: according to the ECDC, there are 11.1 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants in the last two weeks. The most recent indicators were recorded in Bulgaria and Slovenia at 26.9 and 26.1, respectively.

The best rates of coronavirus are found in Iceland, where new morbidity and mortality per 100,000 inhabitants are 54.1 and 0.6, respectively, and in Ireland, where 77.6 morbidity and 1.6 deaths have been reported .

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 90,252 people have been infected with COVID-19 in Lithuania, 50,300 are still ill and 38,768 have recovered.

A total of 791 people died from coronavirus in Lithuania, followed by 394 infected people.
