KD announced that a pre-trial investigation was underway in accordance with article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania. 2 d. Abuse, Art. 276 1 d. “Illegal disposal of substances specified in the Law of Control of Certain Anti-Doping Substances of the Republic of Lithuania for distribution”.

During searches and other pre-trial investigations, various types of anabolic and androgenic steroids (substances that promote and inhibit physical and mental activity of the body and are prohibited by law) were found and seized on suspicion, media, media and money obtained for possible criminal use. Based on available data, the value of prohibited items taken at the correctional facility would have been multiplied by ten.

In cooperation with Šiauliai County Chief Police Commissariat Organized Crime Investigation Board officials, the illegal channel for prohibited items entering the Šiauliai Detention Center was successfully cleared and neutralized.

The pre-trial investigation is organized and controlled by the Organized Crime and Corruption Investigation Division of the Šiauliai Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
