The president will speak with the conservative candidates for the post of Minister of the Interior, Energy, National Defense and Foreign Affairs: Agne Bilotaitė, Dainius Kreivis, Arvydas Anušauskas and Gabriel Landsbergis.
So far, the president has met with 10 of the 14 ministerial candidates.
On Tuesday, G. Nausėda met with Prime Minister-designate Ingrida Šimonyte to discuss the ministerial candidates.
Following the meeting, the president’s spokesman, A. Bubnel, said the head of state had doubts about some of the ministerial candidates. He did not disclose specific names, but assured that it was agreed to look for other candidates.
I. Šimonytė herself stated that this will be decided when the President meets with all the ministerial candidates.
