At that time, D. Miniataitė stated that the conversation with the President was formal and that one of his main priorities was the preparation of the new financial perspectives of the European Union.

“The priorities are very clear, this is the new period, we need to develop programs so that we can benefit from ten years of support, there are still things to do with greater added value, which is insufficient in agriculture. Miniataitė told reporters after the meeting.

Furthermore, it aims to focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and climate change, as well as organic farming.
“During these four years, farmers will not only have a lot to learn, obtain information, but also a technological reorientation and, in many cases, a technology change to control GHGs (greenhouse gases – GHGs),” he said.
He has not yet revealed which team he would form, but he did not rule out the presence of people who now work in the ministry.
“I do not deny that the team can be made up of colleagues working in the Ministry of Agriculture,” said D. Miniataitė.
D. Miniataitė, 59, has served as Chancellor of the Ministry since 2009 and last year she voluntarily resigned and became the Senior Adviser of the Ministry.
From 2004 she served as Secretary of the Ministry, from 2001 to 2004 she was Vice Minister of Agriculture and from 1998 to 2001 she was Head of the Department of Agricultural and Food Integration in the European Union.
