“The decision ends a story that happened in the spring, when the police arrested several people who, although they had independent inspector certificates, were engaged in illegal activities. overall, it was poaching. They had equipment that belonged to the department, it was a motor boat, ”he told BNS.
Olga Vėbrienė, director of the department, says that qualitative changes in the department are one of the main objectives.

According to the department, the fact that the situation is improving is also noted in the results of the raid in the Švenčionys district on Thursday, when officers from the Utena Wildlife Protection Inspectorate detained a person fishing with four nets from a wooden boat on Lake Kretuonas. In addition, two other networks were found in illegal possession in the offender’s annex building.
For these violations, a report was made for the person, a boat and 6 nets were taken. It should be noted that a person has already been sanctioned for a similar crime in June this year, so he cannot avoid the maximum fine.
