Took three weeks
Vilūnė says that a cat lived in his house for 16 years; He said goodbye to his family of pets a few months ago when the cat died after a serious illness. However, the custom of keeping a cat at home led to the fact that the family quickly decided to want a good animal at home again.
“We thought, maybe it would be better to get out of the shelter, do a good job, it will be more fun. You know, when you decide what you want, it seems like I’m leaving, you’re going to take everything, everything seems very simple”, the woman recalls about the search that lasted several weeks.
He admits that perhaps the search was hampered by the fact that a family with children wanted a small kitten, several months old, to grow up in their home. Specifically, the family members of the two, after considering it, decided that it would be a lot of fun to raise two sisters.
We had to explain that we had a cat, that we know how to behave, we listened to everything. In fact, it is very rewarding to be looking so responsibly and not giving those kittens to anyone.
However, these were his only wishes, Vilūnė says. However, the search required a lot of effort.
“In a shelter in Vilnius, they told me to fill out an application form for pets, this is a serious questionnaire, where you had to justify your wish, explain how you will grow, etc. They promised to contact me. We received no response from them. Now I have written that is no longer necessary.
